Pontypridd crash: Woman hit by car is seriously injured
GoogleA pedestrian has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in Rhondda Cynon Taff.
A 43-year-old woman was struck by a black Toyota Avensis on Broadway in Pontypridd at about 20:10 GMT on Thursday.
South Wales Police said the road was closed near the junction with High Street and would not reopen for some time.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is under way.
