A road has been closed after vegetable oil was spilt from a lorry.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service were called to the incident on Newport Street, Swindon, at 11:31 GMT on Monday

When crews arrived they found about 60 litres had spread over an area covering nearly 200 metres around the road's junction with Devizes Road.

The service said the road remains closed while Swindon Borough Council's highways team work to clean up the spillage.

It warned motorists to expect travel disruption in the area.
