Surrey: Redhill watersports site to become a community hub

A watersports company in Surrey is to transform its facilities into a community hub.

Aqua Sports has received planning permission to upgrade its site at Mercers Lake, Redhill.

The modernisation includes a new decked area, adventure playground and improved lakeside infrastructure as well as parking.

Upgrades will be staggered in phases to minimise disruption, with work on the decking due to start first.

The second stage of the plans cover the adventure playground and changing facilities which are expected to be completed before the school summer holidays.

The planning permission was granted by Tandridge District Council.
