Sheffield man, 19, suffers life-threatening injuries in shooting

A 19-year-old man has suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting in Sheffield, police have said.

Officers were called to Page Hall Road at about 00:40 GMT on Tuesday.

The road remains closed between Firth Park Road and Barretta Street, according to South Yorkshire Police.

The man was taken to hospital where he is currently being treated. An investigation has been launched and the force has asked anyone with information to contact police.
