Telford bride dies weeks after Christmas dream wedding
Free Spirit PhotographyA bride who had cancer and was given her dream Christmas wedding for free has died.
Katelen Green, formerly Cheshire, and Billy Green from Telford tied the knot in November at Stanford Farms in Shropshire after the venue and suppliers donated everything to them.
Mrs Green, 24, had stage four Hodgkin's lymphoma which had returned for a third time in 2023.
"She really was a shining light of positivity," Stanford Farms said.
"We are all totally gutted," it wrote on its Facebook page.
Katelen GreenAt the start of this month, Mrs Green wrote on a fundraiser that doctors had told her there was nothing more they could do.
She wanted to raise money for a clinical trial so she could have longer with her three-year-old son, but died on Saturday night.
Mrs Green had previously told the BBC how their wedding was "breath-taking".
"They all did amazing to make mine and Billy's wedding miracle and we can't thank them enough," Mrs Green said.
Free Spirit PhotographyIn total, 33 suppliers provided everything for free, including the wedding dress, cake, photographer and the venue.
"Together we created something that made dreams come true for us all and will stay with us forever and from today it becomes a lasting memory," Stanford Farms wrote.
