Firefighters have put out a blaze at a takeaway outlet in Northampton town centre.

Crews were called to the Delush burger takeaway on Gold Street at about 10:00 GMT.

Gold Street and Bridge Street remain closed, with motorists and pedestrians advised to avoid the area.

A cordon has been put in place close to the scene, with officers from Northamptonshire Police assisting the fire service.
