Plans approved for £150m shopping complex in Lincoln
Chapman TaylorPlans for a £150m redevelopment of the St Marks Shopping Centre area in Lincoln city centre have been approved.
The scheme includes the creation of up to 485,000 sq ft of new retail and leisure space, including developing the area along the River Witham.
It also includes plans for a new hotel, accommodation for 1,100 students, and residential housing.
Standard Life Investments, the owners of St Marks, said the development could see up to 2,000 jobs created.
David Stewart, from the firm, said the scheme would attract new retailers to the city and attract investment.
Work is expected to start in 2020 and take three years to complete.
