Crews are dampening down fire hotspots following a blaze at an industrial estate in Leicester.

Firefighters were called to Pandoras textile factory on the site in Wenlock Way at about 11:20 GMT on Sunday.

The roof of the building contained asbestos but Public Health England (PHE) said it was unlikely people were exposed to the substance.

Leicestershire Police said the road would remain closed until further notice.

The roof of the building collapsed during the blaze and the factory owners, who did not wish to be named, told BBC East Midlands Today the building was "totally destroyed".

Residents had been advised to close their windows and doors as a precaution.

PHE said the risk to health was "very low" but if anyone experiences difficultly breathing as a result of the fire they should seek medical advice.
