Two murder arrests after 'assaulted' Leicester man dies
GoogleTwo people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man allegedly assaulted in Leicester.
Police said they were approached by a relative of the man when he was being treated in hospital.
It was alleged he was assaulted at an address in Tatlow Road on 22 January and taken to hospital two days later.
He died on Thursday and police arrested a 50-year-old woman on Wednesday and a 28-year-old man hours later.
Officers said a cordon was in place at an address in Tatlow Road and both suspects remained in custody.
They added a post mortem to establish the cause of death would take place "in due course".
An appeal for witnesses has been made.
