Sinead Wooding death: Police investigated over 999 call
West Yorkshire PoliceWest Yorkshire Police is being investigated over the way it handled an emergency call from a woman who was later found dead.
The body of Sinead Wooding, 26, was found by joggers at Alwoodley Crags near Leeds on 14 May.
A man and a woman have been charged with her murder.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said it was to investigate the force's actions prior to Ms Wooding's death.
In a statement, the IPCC said: "The force referred the matter to the IPCC shortly after, as Ms Wooding had made a 999 call to West Yorkshire Police on 10 May.
"As such, the IPCC has decided to independently investigate their response to this call, and any subsequent actions taken by police up to the discovery of her body."
