£134m revamp planned for Poole town centre

Multi-million pound plans have been unveiled to redevelop Poole town centre.

A leisure centre, swimming pool, bus station, hotel and more than 400 homes are proposed for the Dorset town.

Borough of Poole council said it had earmarked Kingland Road car park, Seldown car park and coach park and the Dolphin Swimming Pool site.

Councillors are due to discuss the proposals and approve steps to find a development partner on 5 December.

The project, valued at £134m, would also include new office space and improved public spaces.
