Chesterfield Borough CouncilA park which reopened last year after a £50,000 revamp has been badly damaged in a suspected arson attack.
Firefighters were called to the play area at Badger Recreation Ground in Brockwell Place, Chesterfield at 01:26 BST on Friday.
The slide and other equipment at the play area, which reopened in February 2022, was destroyed in the blaze.
