Devon and Cornwall RNLI warns warm weather swimmers
RNLIThe RNLI is asking swimmers to take care in the sea amid unseasonably warm weather.
The charity has asked people to swim at beaches with lifeguards where possible.
The Met Office is forecasting temperatures of between 21C and 24C in Devon and Cornwall over the weekend.
Despite a reduction in lifeguards after the end of peak season, the RNLI said there would still be patrols on popular Devon beaches including including Bantham, Croyde and Woolacombe.
In Cornwall, Fistral, Perranporth, Porthmeor and Sennan are patrolled daily until the end of the month.
Fin Morgan, an RNLI lifeguard in Perranporth, predicted the beaches would be busy.
"We've got some big surf coming in and some offshore winds and it's obviously going to be very sunny, up to 21C," he said.
"Our safety advice would be to visit a lifeguarded beach."
