Suspected WW2 device found by divers off Cornish coast
Mark MilburnA suspected World War Two bomb found by local divers is thought to be a parachute mine, coastguards say.
The device was found 2,600ft (800m) offshore from a beach near Falmouth in Cornwall.
Falmouth coastguards were called at about 09:30 GMT by a local diver who discovered it whilst diving off the coast of Maenporth beach.
A Royal Navy bomb disposal team is expected to destroy it, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has said.
Mark MilburnThe Falmouth lifeboat was "keeping vessels clear of the area as a precautionary measure", the MCA added.
A spokesperson also said they expected the device to be destroyed on 30 November.
