A man stabbed to death at a Dudley flat has been named as Jaskaran Kang.

The "hard-working father" was pronounced dead at a flat in Stourbridge Road, after police were called at 02:30 GMT on Saturday.

The family of Mr Kang, 24, from Handsworth, Birmingham, are appealing for people to come forward.

In a statement released by West Midlands Police, they said: "We just want justice."

They added: "He was a lovely and caring hard-working father, son and brother who has been taken too soon.

"Everyone loved him and the family and community are in shock."

The force said a post-mortem examination is due to take place later.

Det Insp Justin Spanner, of West Midlands Police, said a murder investigation had been launched.

"I am appealing for anyone who may have any information about what happened leading up to the attack," he added.
