A 24-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a cyclist was killed.

Kade Scrivens, of Booth Street, Handsworth, handed himself in to police on Friday, two days after the cyclist died in a crash in Walsall.

Nicholas Harrison, 59, suffered head injuries and died on Midland Road, Darlaston, at 03:20 GMT on Wednesday.

Police said Mr Scrivens was remanded in custody at Walsall Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

He is due to reappear at court in January.
