SAG Awards 2019: In pictures

Awards season is well and truly under way in Hollywood and on Sunday night it was the turn of the 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards show, which saw Black Panther take home the top award.

Emily Blunt, who won best supporting actress for A Quiet Place, attended with her husband and director of the film, John Krasinksi. She joked during her acceptance speech: "Thank you for giving me the part, you'd have been in major trouble if you hadn't so you didn't really have an option."

Emma Stone also lost out to Blunt - she was nominated for best supporting actress in The Favourite, alongside Rachel Weisz. She was also nominated for her TV role in Netflix's The Maniac but Patricia Arquette scooped that prize for Escape at Dannemora

Actor and director Alan Alda speaks after being given the lifetime achievement award. In his speech, he said: "When we get a chance to act, it's our job, at least in part, to get inside a character's head and to search for a way to see life from that person's point of view... it may never have been more urgent to see the world through another person's eyes than when a culture is divided so sharply."

The cast of This Is Us celebrated their win for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series. Actor Justin Hartley told the audience: "Thank you to all of our parents for feeling randy, otherwise we wouldn't be here." It was the second award of the night for the family drama - Sterling K Brown won best male actor in a drama for his portrayal of Randall Pearson

Zachary Levi, star of The Marvellous Mrs Maisel, won outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series. He posed with his trophy at the Netflix SAG Awards after party. He later posted on Instagram: "I'm still processing all this. And that's gonna take a hot minute. But needless to say, this is so damn dreamy. I'm incredibly grateful to have been trusted to come into what was already such an amazing world, and now I get to be a recipient of the incredible love this show has garnered."
