A rugby club had to be evacuated after a fire broke out on the premises.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to Chinnor Rugby Football Club, in Thame, Oxfordshire, at about 14:45 GMT on Saturday.

A spokesperson said: "On arrival smoke was issuing from the rear of the club. Staff had taken immediate action to evacuate the premises and inform the fire service of the presence of oxygen cylinders in the location of the fire."

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fought the blaze while specialist fans were used to clear smoke from the building.
