Speeds bumps are being installed around a Hull park, officials said.

Hull City Council confirmed four were being fitted at Pearson Park, with work beginning on 30 September.

Councillor Mark Ieronimo, portfolio holder for roads and highways, said: “We are committed to improving and enhancing the safety of our road network and the new traffic calming measures on Pearson Park are a significant step towards achieving that goal."

The council said it was also widening a footpath near a police station, opposite the park's pond and Victorian conservatory.
