Man suffers serious injuries in two-car crash

Police have made an arrest after an 83-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a two-car crash in Nottinghamshire.

Emergency services were called to Coxmoor Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at 14:15 GMT on Thursday after the crash left two drivers trapped in their vehicles.

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the 83-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries and another man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

The road was closed in both directions.
