Man appears in court charged with attempted murder

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder in Derby.

Police were called to reports of an altercation in Cowsley Road, Chaddesden, on 16 July.

William Lyon, of Cloudberry Close in Derby, was arrested on 15 September and later charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, criminal damage and affray.

Mr Lyon appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, when the case was adjourned to 15 October and he was remanded into custody.
