A six-year-old girl was hurt after she was hit by a quad bike which then drove off, police said.

The crash happened on Friday at about 12:15 GMT on playing fields off Grange Avenue in Stirchley, Telford.

The bike was being ridden by two men when it struck the girl who was taken to hospital as a precaution but was believed to have suffered minor injuries, the force said.

Witnesses who might have seen what happened were urged by officers to come forward.
