Man and woman arrested following assault
GoogleA man and a woman have been arrested after a man was "attacked with a bladed article", police said.
The victim, in his 40s, was driving along the B5062 close to Crugtone Way in Crudgington, near Telford, at about 17:50 GMT on Friday.
As he pulled over he was approached by another man, who opened his car door and assaulted him with a bladed article, West Mercia Police said.
A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm on Sunday and remains in custody, officers added.
A 35-year-old woman, who was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grevious bodily harm has since been released on bail.
The victim was taken to hospital for further treatment following the incident.
Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or those with dash-cam footage to come forward.
"Thank you to everyone who has assisted with our investigations, which has now led to two people being arrested in connection with the attack," added Det Insp Matt Keeble.
"Our investigation remains very much ongoing, and we are continuing with our inquiries."
