A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the discovery of a body in a burnt-out garage.

The dead man was found in the garage on Surman Street in Worcester at about 06:00 GMT on 26 February.

Thomas Bowen, 34, of no fixed address, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing and was remanded into custody.

His next appearance at Worcester Crown Court is due to be on 8 May, when he is expected to enter a plea. A provisional trial date was set for 24 August.
