Crews from eight fire stations tackle blaze
BBCCrews from eight fire stations have tackled a blaze that has destroyed homes above a shop.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was called to the property on the High Street in Cannington, Somerset, at 04:08 BST on Saturday.
The service said the cause of the fire above a Spar convenience store was accidental.
It said people living above the shop had been evacuated from their homes.
It added the fire caused serious damage to the roof and first floor of the building and the downstairs shop was also damaged by smoke and water.
Crews from Taunton, Bridgwater, Burnham On Sea, Nether Stowey, Street, Williton, Yeovil and Martock all tackled the fire.
