Teenager assaulted during burglary at home
BBCPolice have appealed for information after a 17-year-old boy was assaulted during a burglary at a home in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police believe four men targeted the property, in Roundhill Road, on Monday at about 20:45 GMT.
The 17-year-old was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The force said there would be an increased police presence in the area during their investigation.
Insp Charles Edwards, commander for the East Leicester neighbourhood policing area, said: "The investigation is in its early stages, but officers are working to establish exactly what happened.
"We understand this incident has caused concern in the local community. We want to reassure you that officers will carry out a full investigation."
Police are appealing for anyone with information or footage to come forward.
