Warm, blurred underwater tones surround the creature as it rests among rocks and marine debris. — Phillip and Robin Blythe spotted this charming squat lobster whilst on a recent night dive off Little Cumbrae on the Clyde.

Nick Sturgess Two mountain hares sit among brown heather on a snowy hillside. Their thick, light-grey fur blends with the snowy landscape. One hare sits upright, ears alert, while the other lies lower to the ground. Behind them, the ground is covered in snow. — Nick Sturgess from Muir of Ord spotted this "hare pair" while walking in the Cairngorms this week. He added: "I was able to sit and observe them for a couple of hours seemingly unbothered by my presence."

Her granddad Vincent Logue filled us in on the background of the posts. He said: "These historic bays were once used to store wood for the region's early shipbuilding industry".
