More than 2,100 illegal vapes found in storage unit
Suffolk Trading StandardsMore than 2,100 illegal vapes were seized from a storage unit by trading standards officers.
Suffolk County Council's team said it received intelligence from partner agencies before the vapes were found in Newmarket.
In total, some 2,129 vapes were seized and the authority said it would now work to determine the ownership of the products.
The team encouraged anyone who suspected the sale of illegal vapes to contact them.
Suffolk Trading Standards"Disposable vapes have been banned since June this year so they can't be sold," said Sasha Watson, community engagement officer at Suffolk Trading Standards.
"Obviously there is the potential that they had been stored to be returned, but the likelihood is very slim as they should have been returned to wholesalers by now."
Ms Watson said trading standards received reports of illegal vapes and cigarettes being sold across the county "on a daily basis" and said they could be called with any concerns.
