A man has been charged with the murder of a woman in County Fermanagh.

The body of Ellie Flanagan, 23, was found at a house in Enniskillen on Saturday night as officers carried out enquiries into a crash eight miles away in the village of Tempo.

Officers went to the house that the car was registered to, and they discovered Ms Flanagan's body.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent and is due at Strabane Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Ellie was described as a "well known, well loved and respected" member of the community.

"She was the kind of person who brought a smile to your face as soon as you met her," the local priest said.

Ellie's funeral will take place on Friday in Enniskillen.
