Pair deny murdering man who was found stabbed

Two men have denied murdering a man who was found stabbed to death in Chatham.

Charles Belsham, 43, was found dead with a stab wound at an address in Castle Road, Chatham, on 1 November.

Shane Rule, 41 of no fixed address, and Mark Jesse, from Castle Road, Chatham, denied murder at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday.

Jesse also denies handling stolen goods and arson.

A third man, Ashley Robinson, also appeared at court. He pleaded not guilty to assisting an offender, but admitted dangerous driving.

A trial date has been set for 5 May.
