Service to remember those lost to suicide
Getty ImagesA charity which supports people bereaved by suicide will hold a candlelight remembrance service in Hull.
The event will take place at Hull Minster on 10 December at 19:30 GMT.
A Christmas tree will be available at the Minster for those attending to place a bauble in memory of lost loved ones.
Organisers Chelsey Dalee and Dawn Stansfield said the service would be "a meaningful space where people can gather, remember loved ones, and find comfort together".
They said the service, funded by the Hull-based Mysterious Minds charity, was a chance to "pause, reflect, and remember loved ones during the festive season", which they said could be a "difficult time of year".
Prayers and hymns
Mysterious Minds supports families and individuals affected by bereavement, and helps people affected by grief and loss, across Hull and East Yorkshire.
The charity was formed in 2017 by Ms Dalee after her former partner, Jamie, took his own life.
In October, the organisation installed a bench at the Humber Bridge to encourage people to talk about their mental health.
The Hull Minster service will include prayers, hymns, candle lighting, and dedications on the remembrance tree.
Tickets are free but those who would like to attend are asked to register here.
