Logistics staff based at Jaguar Land Rover say they have had no pay offer from their employer, DHL

Up to 300 DHL logistics workers based at Jaguar Land Rover are to be balloted over strike action in a dispute over pay, the Unite union has confirmed.

The workers, responsible for delivering parts and cars to JLR's Solihull factory, are poised to cast their vote over the failure of DHL to put forward a pay offer for 2026 which is usually implemented every January.

Unite's general secretary Sharon Graham, said: "DHL is a hugely profitable company so there is no excuse for its failure to put forward a fair offer."

A DHL Supply Chain spokesperson said the firm was disappointed about Unite's ballot and remained in "constructive dialogue" with staff. JLR has been approached for comment.

The DHL spokesperson added: "We are continuing constructive dialogue and are committed to reaching a solution that recognises the value of our colleagues, while safeguarding the long-term competitiveness of the operation."

The ballot is due to open on 18 February and close on 11 March.

"These workers have Unite's total support in demanding DHL table an acceptable offer," Graham said.

If members vote in favour of the strike, it is expected to cause disruption to JLR's Solihull operations.
