Bailiff of JerseyA new replacement family judge has been selected in Jersey and will be sworn in next month, according to the island's bailiff.
The Bailiff of Jersey said Advocate Kate Donohue had been appointed as a family judge, sitting principally in International House, St Helier. She replaces Elizabeth Daultrey who will retire in February after seven years.
Donohue joins the court service from her role as an advocate in specialist family law firm Corbett Le Quesne.
Mr Robert MacRae, Bailiff of Jersey, said: "Kate will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role and I am sure that she will use her empathy, patience and pragmatism to good effect in assisting parties to resolve their disputes."
