The first snow of the season has fallen across parts of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

Some drivers were impacted during rush hour but much of the snow has now melted, according to BBC Weather.

Across the country the Met Office has issued yellow warnings over snow and ice, with a more severe amber warning in place for Thursday.

Here are some pictures of the snow as taken by BBC Weather Watchers.

The risks of snow and ice diminish by the weekend as it turns less cold, according to BBC Weather.
