Three people died from multiple injuries in a two-car crash near the Shropshire-Powys border, an inquest has heard.

David Richardson, his wife Pamela Richardson, and John Pryce Jones were killed on the A489 between Churchstoke and Lydham in Snead, Powys, on 11 December. A fourth person was seriously injured.

The couple, who lived in Churchstoke, died at the scene, Pontypridd Coroner's Court heard.

Mr Pryce Jones, 86, from Craven Arms, Shropshire, was driving the other car. He was airlifted to hospital in Stoke on Trent but died later the same day.

David Richardson, 63, and Pamela Richardson, 64, had recently retired to the area. Their family said they were "loving members of our family" and "very special to us all" in a statement from Dyfed-Powys Police.

All three inquests were adjourned to allow further investigation into the crash.
