Cocaine with an estimated value of £250,000 has been recovered from a car on the A90 in Aberdeenshire.

Police officers stopped a car travelling northbound towards Stonehaven on Sunday morning.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged with drugs offences.

Police Scotland described it as a "significant" recovery.
