Suspected drug dealer arrested after police raid
West Mercia PoliceA man has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing after police executed a warrant at a property in Worcestershire, discovering drugs with a total estimated street value of £20,000.
The raid happened at an address on Prospect Road North, Redditch on Thursday morning following "intelligence around suspected illegal activity", West Mercia Police said.
A force spokesperson said officers found a "significant quantity" of suspected Class A drugs at the address and about 200 wraps were also found bagged up in a bedroom.
The man, in his 40s, was arrested at the property on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and has been placed in police custody.
Insp Rich Field said: "We found a large quantity of class A drugs – heroin and cocaine – and arrested a man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
"The harm illegal drugs such as these reap on our communities is well documented and we will continue to disrupt and pursue those peddling them to keep our town safe."
