A woman in her 70s is in a life-threatening condition after she was hit by car, police have said.

She was walking in Sharoe Green Lane, Preston when she was struck by a silver Kia at about 18:50 GMT on Friday.

Lancashire Police said she was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

They said the driver stopped at the scene and appealed for anyone with footage or information to contact them.
