Five people found in the back of a lorry have been taken into police custody, police have said.

Sussex Police said it received reports of "a noise coming from a parked lorry" on the A27 near Arundel.

Officers arrested five people in the vehicle on suspicion of illegal entry to the country while a man was arrested "on suspicion of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation".

The road, which was closed by police, has reopened, according to the force.
