Blind cat Bumpy finds forever home after surgery
Cherwell Cats ProtectionA blind cat called Bumpy has now received the eye surgery she needed and found a permanent home after a cat charity raised an appeal.
Bumpy was born in Oxfordshire with eyes which weren't properly formed and has never been able to see.
The charity has raised more than £8,000 for her "much needed surgery" which will remove the eye tissue to prevent pain and infection.
Emily Parker of the Cats Protection Cherwell team said: "Bumpy came into our care after her owner realised, she couldn't give her the care she needed."
Parker said: "Whilst Bumpy has had to face things no kitten should she takes it all in her stride and loves life.
"She is the first cat to greet us in the morning and purrs the second you fuss her."
Bumpy's eyes have now been sealed shut to prevent any infection and is recovering well.
She will be joining her new owner shortly after she has been spayed, fully vaccinated and micro chipped, the charity added.
Her new family are "well versed" in caring for cats with additional needs, their previous cat was deaf.
The charity said it is hopeful Bumpy will live a "comfortable and joyful life".
"We feel blessed to have had the chance to help and wanted to thank everyone who kindly donated towards her care," the charity added.
