Greater Manchester Police have enforced the order in Wigan town centre until Sunday afternoon

A dispersal order has been introduced for Wigan town centre following a rise in reports of anti-social behaviour over past weekends, Greater Manchester Police said.

Officers will have extras powers to order anyone causing "harassment or alarm" to leave the area immediately.

The force also issued a dispersal order earlier in the week, after anti-social behaviour had been "causing issues within the town centre recently".

Spanning from Friday to 15:00 BST on Sunday, this weekend's order covers the area between the A49 and the town's rail and bus stations.
