Two boys charged with murder over mosque stabbing
HandoutTwo more boys have been charged with murder after a teenager was fatally stabbed outside a mosque.
Zeeshan Afzal, 18, was discovered with serious injuries on Oldbury Road in Smethwick, following disorder on 20 February. He died shortly afterwards.
The 16 and 17-year-old teenagers, who cannot be legally named, are set to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.
A 17-year-old boy who was previously charged with Afzal's murder remains in custody, West Midlands Police has said.
In a charity fundraiser started in his memory, Zeeshan was described as being known for his "kindness, generosity, and laughter touched everyone who knew him".
"To lose him during Ramadan has been an indescribable pain," it read.
The force said inquires were continuing and urged anyone with information to come forward.
