Police said they wanted to speak to the man pictured

Police investigating the attempted kidnap of a woman in Leeds have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident happened on The Oval in Hunslet at 01:20 GMT on Friday 14 November, West Yorkshire officers said.

A man approached the woman from behind and grabbed her, although she was able to escape and reach safety, officers added.

The suspect was described as being unsteady on his feet and was subsequently seen walking unsteadily through the nearby Morrison's car park towards Hunslet Library.

Anyone who recognises the individual, who appeared to carrying a green sleeping bag in the images, has been asked to contact police.
