Person held over BBL death faces no further action

One of two people arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a woman believed to have undergone Brazilian butt lift (BBL) will face no further action, police have confirmed.

Mother-of-five Alice Webb, 33, died at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in the early hours of 24 September last year after after becoming unwell following cosmetic treatment.

She is thought to have undergone a non-surgical procedure to firm the buttocks in which dermal filler is injected into the area.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following her death, one of whom remains on police bail, Gloucestershire Police said.

"Investigations are continuing" into a man who "remains on police bail with conditions," police added.

An inquest into Ms Webb's death was been opened at Gloucestershire Coroner's Court in October last year, but a date for a full inquest has yet to be set.
