Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a building on the St Andrews University campus.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said the "well-developed" fire had started at a technology lab in the North Haugh area.

Four fire engines, a height appliance and a specialist water carrier were sent to the scene at about 14:25.

A university spokesperson said the fire had been "contained" to a storage area in one corner of the building, but other areas may be impacted by "smoke and water" damage.

They added an investigation would take place to establish the cause.

An SFRS spokesperson said there were no casualties.
