The youth centre in Ludlow has been closed since the crash in April

A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a lorry went into a youth centre, causing it to shut for several months.

An HGV crashed into parked vehicles and a railway bridge before it hit the youth club building in Ludlow, Shropshire, during the early hours of 28 April.

Shropshire Council, which owns the building, said most of the groups which used it had been moved to another community centre, to allow repairs to be carried out.

Peter Bilham, 62, of Bunbury in Cheshire, has also been charged with four counts of causing criminal damage and will appear before Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
