Man denies throwing coin at derby football game
Getty ImagesA 43-year-old man has appeared in court charged with throwing a missile towards the pitch at a football match.
Kevin Punchard, of Unity Park, Plymouth, is accused of throwing a coin at or towards the playing area where Exeter City FC were taking on Plymouth Argyle at St James Park in Exeter on 23 October 2025.
Punchard denied the charge when he appeared before Exeter Magistrates' Court and the case was adjourned for a trial to be held at the court in July.
Exeter City won the derby game 2-0.
