Children hurt in crash and man arrested over drugs
GoogleThree children were hurt, one seriously, in a crash where a motorist was arrested for drug offences.
The children were taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital along with the driver of their car, a man who suffered minor injuries, West Mercia Police said.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving with excess drugs. He was the driver of the car with the children in.
The collision on the A458 at Morville in Shropshire at 14:38 GMT on Tuesday. The road was closed for about four hours following the collision.
Update: An earlier version of this story said one of the drivers, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving with excess drugs. It now says a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of these offences and he was the driver of the car with the children in. This was amended after West Mercia Police confirmed it had initially put out incorrect information.
