Maintenance train derailment blocks Aberdeen to Inverness line
GoogleRail travel between Aberdeen and Inverness is being disrupted after a track maintenance train derailed.
The "low speed" incident happened between Huntly and Insch in Aberdeenshire during the night, blocking the line.
ScotRail said there were no injuries, and that a re-railing team was now on site.
Inverness to Aberdeen services are terminating and starting back from Huntly. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Limited rail replacement transport is available and tickets are being accepted on Stagecoach North buses 10 and M96.
Network Rail Scotland confirmed: "Engineers are already on site, working to re-rail the machine as soon as possible."
