Parking charges to rise by up to £1 at hospitals
GoogleParking prices at two Surrey hospitals will increase by up to £1 a day from September, an NHS trust has announced.
Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust says charges at the two sites will go up from Monday, but that prices are still "similar to neighbouring NHS trusts".
Charges for up to two hours of parking at the sites in Ashford and Chertsey will rise from £4.50 to £5, and up to three hours of parking will rise from £5.50 to £5.80.
Day rates for parking will also increase from £10 to £11. Other charges will remain the same, and parking for under 20 minutes remains free.
Charging electric vehicles will also remain at the same price of 35p per kilowatt.
A spokesperson for the trust said increased parking prices were needed to "allow us to continue to provide parking facilities and services for our visitors and staff".
